Women in Makhachkala, Dagestan, are protesting against the war and mobilization: “Why are you taking our children? Who attacked whom? Who attacked Russia? We are the ones who attacked Ukraine. #Russia attacked Ukraine. No to war!"

Another summer is upon us. Slowly but surely, I feel like we are all emerging from the pit of our collective despair. I mean it was hard to feel optimistic for the future of the nation and the planet with the past administration. The day-to-day outrage and stupidity for four years. Then came the pandemic and all fear and ignorance that came with it. I have never been called a "Pollyanna" but I do feel things are gradually improving. What do you think?
